Our Story
Turfli began in 2009 when Curtis Frank and Karl Baum — friends, neighbors, and longtime Scottsdale residents — started installing artificial turf for family and neighbors who were tired of fighting natural grass in Arizona's brutal summers.
What started as a two-person operation has grown into Scottsdale's most trusted outdoor living company. We've designed and built outdoor environments for hundreds of Valley homeowners — from starter upgrades in Ahwatukee to complete estate transformations in Silverleaf and Paradise Valley.
Through all of it, our approach has stayed constant: in-house crews, not subcontractors. Honest pricing, not bait-and-switch estimates. Materials rated for Arizona's climate, not whatever ships cheapest from a distributor. And a standard of craftsmanship that we're willing to put our names on.
Fifteen years later, more than half our new business comes from referrals from previous clients. That's the number we're most proud of.
